Alice. -Teaser-

"Why does this always happen to me?" Meserin sighed. All he ever wanted was to be a part of the world he had created.
Sarah turned to Alice and petted her, but Alice snuffed and turned away. "What's wrong Alice?" Sarah asked hesitantly, Alice pointed her head at Josh and Samuel, "Oh that's what you want" Sarah understandingly replied. Josh was Sarah's arranged husband and best childhood friend, and although they'd always known they were to be married they weren't looking forward to it. Samuel spread his wings as Josh got on his back "Let's do it" Josh said as a cloud of dust appeared and they rose into the sky. Alice longed for a mate and even though she was only young it was becoming more and more apparent that she wasn't a baby anymore, her adult coat was beginning to grow in, and her hips were also maturing. Sarah had predicted that within a few months Alice's need for partner would grow too strong and should there not be one available close by Alice would need to leave.
Meserin placed his pen in the spine of his notebook before putting them in his school bag and rushing to leave, he was going to be late to school again. When he got to school he immediately went to go find a quiet place alone, Meserin found this solace behind a wall off to the side of the school.
He pulled out his notepad and ripped out the pages he'd just written he then clicked his lighter and touched the open flame to the pages. They were ash. "Mez!" someone screamed. Meserin panicked and put the lighter in his pocket, "Oh it's just you Josh, you scared me" Meserin said as a tall blonde-haired boy walked around the corner. "That's the third time this week Mez" said Josh "when're you gonna slow down man?" Josh looked at his watch, "shit dude, we're gonna be late again! We gotta hurry"

"Joseferin?" The teacher asked, "Miss, how many time do I gotta tell ya? Call me Josh." "Present" The teacher replied as she marked him off the list. "Well now, it looks like we're all here apart from Saraiah."
Class was long and all Meserin could think about were the creatures in his head. Meserin couldn't write in his classes for fear of somebody reading it and taking away the magic of his stories, in his classes Meserin drew pictures of the winged creatures he dreamt about.
When class had finished Meserin needed to burn the pictures he'd drawn and rushed to the same place he'd been this morning. He had just finished burning the last picture when a teacher caught him, "What are you doing Meserin?" the teacher asked, "Seeing the dragons off Sir, otherwise they'll be lonely and stuck here forever." "Wh-What did you just say?" the teacher stumbled, "Dragons." Meserin replied smiling before running off to his next class.
